I opened the boxes back up to do some more work. I made same braces to
strengthen some of the panels that are only 3/4".
Pretty much all the construction is done with 3/4" MDF except the front baffle
which 1 1/4" MDF (two pieces of 5/8" glued together). Also I doubled up on
the base with 3/4" for a total thickness of 1 1/2". I didn't want them to
crumble under their own weight!
I finally cut the hole in the bottom for the port tube.
A test fit of the port tube. I didn't want to press it all the way in yet
'cause then I'd never get it back out! Soon I will make a little pedestal
to attach to the base to raise the port up above floor level. You'll see
what I mean...
Looks kinda like a musical instrument...
